Car Seat Canopy

Can I just say that I really like the option that you can upload the pics you take on you cell phone to blogger! Here is the canopy I sewed a couple weeks ago, Im not too sure how completely necessary these canopies are but I had extra fabric and extra time. Of course I got the pattern from pinterest, here is the blog I got it from.

The Henry Doorly Zoo

The Zoo is not too far from our home. We bought an annual pass so that we could go there as we please. Its great for long walks, which I look forward to with Daveney. They have and indoor desert, feeding times and animal training times that you can observe, and an IMAX theater. Robert and I recently went to the "Jungle"where we saw hippos, monkeys, snakes, otters, and tons of other animals!

Cloth Diapers

I went ahead and bought 12 cloth diapers (I will be buying 12 more next month). I went to a local store here called Baby Junk, and Im really glad I did. My heart was set on "Fuzzibunz One Size Elites" but I ended up changing my mind to "Bumbgenius Freetimes." I told myself that price would not persuade me on getting a different brand, and it didn't, however I scored and ended up getting the Bumbgenius for 2$ off each diaper! My true reason for switching was #1: I got to touch, feel, snap, un-snap, velcro, roll and play with each brand of diapers (and there are a lot of brands) and I just preferred the Bumbgenius, which I really didn't think I was going to. and #2: the fact that the Fuzzibunz were a "pocket" diaper and I realized that I didn't want to take the time to un-stuff and re-stuff the inserts before and after every laundry load (and Robert probably wouldn't have liked doing that either haha). AND the Fuzzibunz were more bulky.

The cloth diapers come in all these fun colors and you can choose between snap or velcro. At first I was trying to think how many of each color should I get. And you just never know what gender your next baby will be, so maybe just gender neutral colors? One day I was talking about this with a coworker in Utah and she said she had just switched from disposable to cloth and that she absolutely loves them and that she got all white diapers (so she could use bleach every once in a while). Brilliant! So I copied her idea, and now I don't have to worry about gender or matching outfits or dumb stuff like that. I was also set on only getting "snaps," but as I talked to other moms they said that the velcro can come in handy in the middle of the night so your not frustrated with trying to match the snaps in the dark. So I got half velcro and half snaps. Im just waiting for the phone call from Baby Junk letting me know that they have arrived. Im so excited!

Omaha/Baby Update

Well we have officially been in omaha for two and a half weeks. we have been blessed to learn the road system pretty quickly. We were able to visit Phillip and Kirsten and their beautiful children for a weekend. Its nice to be living closer to them.

Robert started school just four days ago & I love being home & having dinner ready for him when he arrives.

I love my doctor here. My last visit I was told that Daveney is head down already! what a good girl, only 6 more weeks and she will be here in our arms. I am starting to feel more tired and I have enjoyed taking longer showers and naps. Im starting to put together our hospital bag, but so much of that stuff is more last minute things like, toothbrush/paste, hairbrush, etc. I just don;t know when I should really add those things in our hospital bag. It would be a hassle to take it in and out of the bag everyday. (I guess I have got to do what I've got to do)

Road Trip to Nebraska

We drove nearly 1,000 miles from Orem to Omaha. The roads were long and straight. Our main scenery was corn fields, miles and miles of corn fields. Luckily we did not have to drive our moving trailer. We managed to pack all we own in our two cars and only 8 ft deep of space on the trailer. we had so much help loading and unloading our trailer thanks to the goodness of friends, family and ward members.

Robert and Brogan Rock Climbing

Before we left Utah, Brogan invited Robert to rock climb (for free) all day. So they climbed three different times throughout the day. Their last climb they invited Stacey and I to watch them. I really wanted to climb as well, but there was no way I could do it with this baby girl in me :)
